Mr. Gold Season 2 Promo
I just want to address some of the confusion about the Mr. Gold/Rum Season 2 Promo Poster that I made.

Also, this is not an official promo for season two, though I’m very flattered by those of you who thought that. It’s just something I made in my excitement for the next season. Thank you so much. -Lyd
I don’t understand people who don’t understand fanfiction. I mean, I get not reading it. I get not taking the time to write it. I get it not being your thing. But not being able to understand why it exists, why people pour their efforts into it?
Who are these people? For I know these people must have, at least some point in their life, read a book or watched a movie. In fact many of the people I know who don’t understand fanfiction LOVE to read books and watch movies.
What is it then? Can these people honestly just watch movies or read books and close them and be done? Do the characters not stick with them? Do they not stop and think about them and their personality, the trials they’ve been through, their strengths and weaknesses? Do they spend no effort trying to find the core of their being, the reasoning being their decisions, what made them what they are and what they could become?
Do they simply accept the plot as all there is to these characters lives? Do they not ponder what would happen if something went differently, how it would change everything?
Does their mind never dwell upon what they would have liked to have happened differently? Or what they would have liked to explore more?
And more importantly, do these thoughts not grab hold of them and refuse to leave them until they are formed and developed into stories of their own? Stories that will linger in your mind and nag at your soul until you have written them out as clear and true to your imagination and the original source as you can possibly make them?
Perhaps these people are simply not writers. And perhaps the ones that are and still fall into this category, don’t truly love the works of others. I don’t assume to know know, as I simply don’t understand their lack of understanding.
